We have now reached the end of our categories! AND WE SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST. No need for introductions, or explanations for this one, you all know each and every one of these pictures. We’ve fangirled about them when they came out, we’ve analysed them, edited them, reblogged them, reblogged them again, tagged them as ‘secretly married’ or just stood there and stared at them. The question now is which of all of those gorgeous pictures is your favorite?

FAVORITE PUBLIC EVENT
There we are and we’re almost done with all the categories! Without making you wait any further we present FAVORITE PUBLIC EVENT. And oh boy, there are a lot of choices for this one!
1. Eleventh Hour Screening
Matt’s old school was the final destination of the Doctor Who tour (glorious days) and it was arguably the best day of it as well. It gave us classic pictures like this one (SERIOUSLY YOU TWO. DO YOU NOT SEE THE CAMERAS OR?), and Matt playing football while Karen stares all happily, and more ridiculous staring and Karen taking ~secret pictures of Matt while he’s giving an interview.
2. Series 5 Press Launch
Probably their first appearence together as actors, if I’m not mistaken. They were also drunk and clumpsy and bickered about who’s taller and exchanged some pretty silly looks and Matt suggested that they should do all their interviews together from then on, because it was just so much more fun. And Karen said she thinks so too. These are the people who choose to love.
3. DVD signing 2010
Ridiculous staring and laughing and playing with children and most importantly, Matt playing itsy bitsy spider on Karen’s hand. DID YOU THINK NO ONE WATCHING MATTHEW? Also personal space is less existant than ever before and there’s some serious lip staring as well. For more info check out this photoset.
4. Doctor Who at the Proms
Ah, the idiots got formal for this one! And both of them looked stunning. As you can see from the picture, they never pass up an opportunity to stare AND there was also Karen’s classic ‘shut up’ accompanied with the even more classic playful hit on his shoulder. It was a magical evening
5. The Impossible Austronaut screening
IT HAPPENED IN NEW YORK. Enough said. Except we had pictures like this, (how much do you want to bet that empty chair between them was Arthur’s who then got away from them to probably bang his head against the nearest wall?) and they were both looking like hipster royalty which we know they are and there was a lot of freaking out and general fangirling on tumblr. Shame this blog didn’t already exist :(
6. Comic Con
THOSE SUUUUMMER NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHTS (and days). There were interviews with Karen talking about her knitted Matt doll and Matt saying ‘you cuddle it to sleep, don’t you?’ and interviews with them mimicking each other, and interviews with them talking about the parties they went to and who they met, and even more interviews with them dancing and making fun of Arthur who couldn’t be there.
7. DVD signing 2011
That day felt more like Christmas, than actual Christmas. So much giggling and lack of personal space (more than usual if that’s even possible) and Matt talking about David Walliams and going ‘we’re going to have dinner with him aren’t we Kaz?’, and Matt’s mum going ‘aaaaaaaaw Kaz!’ from somewhere in the audience (this is something that actually happened) and Karen talking about how she wants to be a hamster.
8. NTA’s
After a long hiatus, that night was like a gift from the Gods. Both of them won matching awards for their amazing performances, Matt was about to cry when Karen got up to give her speech, he then kept talking about how glad he was that she won, barely mentioning his own win, and later the media was saying how they now have ‘his and hers’ NTAs. Oh and amazing and perfect Arthur congratulated both of them on his twitter because he’s amazing and perfect.

FAVORITE PERSON MATT AND KAREN INTERRACT WITH
Next category! Once again thank you guys for still participating in this :D We’re having SO much fun and so far all the winners are AMAZING choices. So you know how Matt and Karen like to flirt and act stupid a lot and leave us all frustrated? They’re actually doing the same to the people who know them too! So this time, you have to choose who you love the most. Here are the nominations:
1. Arthur Darvill
Third member of Karen and the Babes. Arthur is with them a lot, either sitting in the background looking frustrated, or awkwardly scratching his head while Matt and Karen are dancing, or trying to teach them was corn is or teasing Karen about her moon head and Matt about his chin and he has said it himself that he feels like their ‘dad’ a lot. Also, he’s adorable and perfect.
2. Alex Kingston
Queen Alex! She’s not around set as much as the rest of them but she was the first one to talk about how distraught Karen was while filming the Doctor’s death in Utah. She can also handle the boys when they’re giving Karen too much of a hard time and she’s been around during a lot more of shenanigans like the season 6 premiere in New York etc etc.
3. Adam Smith
If it wasn’t for him, we would have never known about Karen putting her hand on Matt’s inner thigh ‘subconciously’. He was the one who pointed that out, also said that Karen was obviously ‘lost in the moment’. Also, little known fact: Adam Smith made the two of them take a little trip together when they first met, so they could develop their chemistry organically. Yes, yes you should send them on more trips Adam. Also he seems to still enjoy hanging out with the two of them. SHIPPER.
4. The Media
They’re getting continuously ignored by Matt and Karen, so we couldn’t ignore them too. As you all know, these two idiots have given a lot of interviews where they end up vanishing in their bubble and completely ignoring the cameras around them. That way, we have gotten priceless quotes about how the interviewers feel like a third wheel because of the inside jokes, how they’re the ‘steamiest hottest couple of Doctor Who ever’ and a lot of them also comment on their ‘domestic banter’ and their body language and ‘is it good acting or do you really fancy each other?’
5. The Moff
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the fact that if it wasn’t for Steven, Matt and Karen wouldn’t have even met! He’s the one who was blown away by their chemistry and put them together. Also he’s said that they’re the two most beautiful people in the world, that Karen is the only one not afraid of Matt’s clumpsiness of course, he takes pictures of them next to Daleks and uploads them on his twitter and the poor guy has to put his head down so people can see Matt and Kaz. Give it up for the Moff!

FAVORITE NICKNAMES
New category fresh out of the oven! And this one is one of the stupidest most fun ones! You know how Matt and Karen rarely call each other by their actual names? Well it’s up to you to decide which of those other names they use is your favorite. Here are the nominations:
1) The Badger and the Hamster
Once upon a time, Karen said that she is his hamster and Matt said ‘oh ok, then I should get you one of those spinning wheels’ LIKE IT WAS THE MOST NATURAL THING IN THE WORLD FOR YOUR COSTAR TO SAY SHE’S YOUR HAMSTER. And that was around the time Matt was badger obsessed and kept bothering her and shouting ‘BADGER!’ until Kaz said ‘YOU ARE A BADGER!’
2) Gangly Fox/Drunk Giraffe
She’s been called many things by Matt, but ‘gangly fox’ is the one we always come back to when it comes to Karen. When she was asked about it she said Matt started calling her that because of the way she moved and then just shrugged her shoulders and said ‘but he’s a drunk giraffe so’
3)Smith Dawg/KGill
That’s probably how they call each other when they want to be cool. Karen called him Smith Dawg on twitter when they were still in the magical place called New York. We use those nicknames whenever a picture pops up where they’re being extra swag. And then we just cry.
4) Sherbet Shepperton/Fuzzy Springfield Gardens
THERE WAS ALSO A TIME WHEN MATT AND KAREN GAVE SEPERATE INTERVIEWS to Craig Ferguson and the Nerdist (around the same time) and they talked about their pornames and how one can find out his. And you just know they found out theirs together.
5) DJ Smagill
Before ‘Smillan’ was even a thing, Matt and Karen made up their own shipper name, combining their names together while discussing what they’d be called if they were a DJ duo. Yes. This is a thing that has actually happened. And then they decided that Smagill was a disturbing name. And they kept talking about it.

ALSO, SPECIAL MENTION GOES TO THE MOST PRECIOUS NICKNAME OF THEM ALL WHICH IS OF COURSE ‘KAZ’. ‘KAZ’ didn’t make it to the nominations because we have nothing to match it with but it’s such an iconic thing because we’ve only heard Matt use it for her and so many of us also call her Kaz because of it <3

Soooo, here we go, next category :D Thank you guys so much for all the votes in the previous ones too. THIS IS SO FUN FOR US. We bring you a peculiar little category this time: your favorite place these two have been stupid in. And since we know they enjoy being stupid everywhere they go, I expect this to be an epic battle! Here are the nominations:
1. New York
Piggy back rides, secret Christmas trips, filming, premieres, Karen wearing the same clothes as yesterday, hair kissing. The Big City.
2. London
Where there are movie premieres and train stations and bars and restaurants for them to go to together when they think no one’s watching (all those have happened according to tweets and pictures).
3. Cardiff
When the magic happens! Where they started their journey as friends and colleagues, where they are now, where they live close to each other and Matt walks her home when she’s scared of the dentist living below her flat.
4. Almeria
Take out food from burger King, and giggling and being alone and then later getting more than slightly tipsy, and dancing and twirling and hugging and drinking some more.
5. Utah
Karen stealing Matt’s stetson, and adorable behind the scenes pictures, and some really emotional filming, especially from Karen’s part who broke down while they were shooting the Doctor’s death scene and running and Karen throwing a bottle at him and him going ‘Oooooh good throw Kaz!’

BEST DAY (S) IN THE BUBBLE
Here it is finally, our next category! Sorry this one took its sweet time, life got in the way. But to make up for it, we bring you a fun choice! BEST DAY IN THE BUBBLE. We all know these two idiots have given us many many reasons to freak out and keysmash ever since this blog was created so, this time we tell you to go back and choose which one was your favorite judging by how many times mattandkaz popped up in your dash with flaily tags and crying gifs and threatening to sue. Here are the nominations:
1. Comic Con.
Oh the glorious days of Summer. We had interviews of Matt and Kaz saying stuff like ‘cuddle it to sleep’ and mimicking each other, and going out to dinner and meeting fans, and mattandkaz was just a tiny community back then with under 1000 followers but we were all fangirling and freaking out and bonding for the very first time. Nostalgia!
2. Season Six DVD signing and interviews
I remember this day so clearly even now. It started off with us freaking out because Matt and Karen were about to give a radio interview and NO ONE knew how we could record it and then we found out a way and we were freaking out because they were ridiculous and then the DVD signing and Q&A started and Karen was going on about how she wanted to be a hamster and Matt’s mother was swooning because he called Karen ‘Kazza’ etc etc.
3. Secret New York trip just before Christmas
HEY REMEMBER THAT ONE TIME MATT AND KAREN WENT ON A TRIP TO NEW YORK TOGETHER RIGHT AFTER KAREN’S BIRTHDAY? Just the two of them? And they also visited the Way Station and the bartender said they were ‘into each other’? And New York was cold and there were Christmas lights everywhere and HELLO, ROMCOM OF A LIFE.
4. BBC Christmas ad
AKA THAT TIME MATT AND KAREN WORE HIPSTER CHRISTMAS JUMPERS AND PLAYED TWISTER WITH A CYBERMAN WHO FELT LIKE A THIRD WHEEL. And we all started freaking out and there was so much fanart of them in their jumpers and then people actually started buing them and there were SO many ‘Christmas at the Smiths’ and mistletoe jokes going around and it finally felt like Christmas to me. I remember my fingers were sore from all the keysmashing.
5. Drunken shenanigans in Spain
They started us off gently with candids of them walking around and getting food and giggling and then when we weren’t even done fangirling about THAT along came the twirling and the drunk hugging and the ‘arms-on-Karen’s-waist-while-talking-to-other-people’ing and this blog gained about 800 followers in a matter of three days. Also three days spent in complete lack of sleep because of them.
6. New York filming for season 7 of Doctor Who
Ah our latest freak out. Again we started off gently with filming pics of Karen and the Babes in Central Park and then the pictures of just the two of them appeared. Giggling in the park, fighting with sticks and books, hair kissing, piggy back rides, Karen getting a twitter and uploading her first picture being one with Matt, Matt saying his new game is to hug Karen in public and yell ‘Don’t leave!’ and so on and so on.
So there you have it! Six choices! Six times we all wanted to hug this ever growing happy bubble and keep it safe from all harm. FAVORITE INTERVIEW
We have successfully made it to our third category! I must say the last one got an overwhelming amount of votes so we hope you guys keep the trend. THANK YOU for participating in this :’) So without making you wait any longer, here are the nominations for favorite Matt/Kaz interview. Thankfully there are links to all of them but I shall also provide a brief interview of each one just in case. WE HUGELY RECCOMEND WATCHING ALL OF THEM BEFORE YOU VOTE THOUGH BECAUSE NOTHING WE SAY WILL DO THEM JUSTICE.
1. Comic Con
One of the many times Matt and Karen mimic each other. The fish face is born. Karen doesn’t like Matt’s brooding. Matt doesn’t like Karen’s reading. Ridiculous faces. A lot of giggling. General silliness.
2. Matt interviews Karen/Karen interviews Matt
The amount of staring in this one is just unacceptable. ‘How long have you had a crush on me?’, ‘Don’t take up my whole shot with that massive head’, Amy Pond/the Doctor praising from both of them, personal space getting progressively less existent.
3. the One Show
Interviewers tell them they’re the ‘most explosive, steamy couple Doctor Who’s ever seen’. They also mention Matt’s body language when he talks about the kiss which is in fact very awful. More kiss talk occurs. Also bed hair.
4. Daybreak
They talk about their chemistry they first ‘got together’. Matt says it ages with time, their relationship and then procceeds to talk about the day he first met Karen and how her hair was beyond her NETHER REGIONS. Also he knows that Karen likes Nutella. And he’s the best kisser.
5. Fearne on Radio/part 2
Karen finds Matt just so repulsive in this interview. Also even more mimicing. They’re bickering about guest stars and Fearne comments how she loves their ‘domestic banter’. A whole lot of laughing and giggling and ‘shut your face’ing.

Attention attention citizens of the happy bubble! It is time to participate in our second category for our Matt/Kaz awards! We’ve had so many votes for the last one and we hope we can say the same about this one as well. You guys are amazing! This time we have another tough one for you. Extra tough because it’s actually two categories! Best Karen quote about Matt and best Matt quote about Karen. Here are the nominees:
Matt:
1) “Amy Pond is, uh, I don’t know, I’ve sort of fallen in love with Amy Pond…. she’s a redhead, feisty, seductress, ball of wit. God, I think Karen brings so much of herself to the role of Amy. BEST CONFIDENTIAL
Alright guys, the time has come for you all to vote in our first category and one of the toughest if I say so myself. This week you have to choose your favorite Doctor Who Confidential amongst six nominations, based only on which one made you squee more with all its Matt/Kaz glory. Just in case you need me to refresh your memory (and since every place where you can watch Confidential online seems to have vanished *cries*) let me describe briefly the shenanigans these two are up to in each of our runners for ‘best confidential’
5.02: Matt says how he’s ‘fallen in love with Amy Pond’ and then how ‘Karen brings so much of herself to the role as Amy’ in the same sentence. Awkward dancing and pushing each other and charades occur on set of ‘the Beast Below’. More Matt praising Karen and saying how fond of her he is and how close they are. Photoshoot for season 5 promo pics and complete lack of any kind of personal space. Also hugging while covered in fake Star Whale vomit.
5. 05: Matt and Karen rehearsing for ‘smoochie smoochie tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime’, Karen subconsciously putting her hand on Matt’s thigh subconciously and then denying it afterwards, ‘I seduced you’, Matt imitating Karen, Karen hitting him with pillows, ‘no one cares about your silly bedroom’, general stupidity and again lack of personal space.
5.09: A couple of idiots across Britain. ‘I have just woken up’ -‘Yeah I know’, practically sitting on each other on a HUGE sofa, Karen taking pictures of Matt while he’s being interviewed, awkward dancing to the Doctor Who theme, Matt ‘obscuring’ Karen’s face, Matt filming Karen and saying stuff like ‘oh there she is. There’s trouble.’ Lack of personal space is getting ridiculous at this point. Also lots of standing around and looking flawless while people take pictures.
5.13: First time ever in New York. ‘Kaz where are we?’ -‘We’re at NYC!’-‘New York City baby!’, Karen wearing the same clothes as yesterday, looking flawless and married during the episode screenings, walking around being stupid, ‘Jay-Z was right wasn’t he?’
6.05: ‘I’ve got a friend…you!’, Karen saying she’s basically his hamster and Matt saying if that’s true he has to get her a training wheel. More hamster talk occurs. ‘Matt what are your experiences with the paranormal?’ -‘Well, apart from working with Karen…”, Matt and Karen tell us a story of how she was afraid to go to her fla t one night and asked him if he could walk up with her (yes these are actual people who exist).
6.06: Charlie the Badger is born. Matt makes Charlie say that he thinks Karen looks really weird when she’s falling asleep in make up. Karen starts stroking Charlie’s neck. Stupid things like ‘you like this don’t you Charlie?’-‘oooooooooh I like it like that’ are said. A whole lot of teasing.
